    About the company

carbonify is a leading service provider in the European market for greenhouse gas reduction quotas (GHG quotas). Since our foundation in 2021, we have been making GHG quota trading efficient, transparent and legally compliant across different countries – with solutions that create real value for businesses and end customers. Private electric vehicle owners, operators of electric vehicle fleets and public charging infrastructure benefit from annual GHG premiums for verified emission reductions. Our software enables us to manage the entire regulatory and operational process, including premium payments and quota trading.

We support business customers from a wide range of industries as well as end customers in different countries in leveraging the commercial potential of electric mobility through GHG quotas. In doing so, we actively contribute to sustainability and the environmentally friendly transformation of the transport sector. But this is only the beginning of our journey. Further products and innovations in the field of electric mobility will follow – and you can be part of it!

    Your role

As the person with overall responsibility for the Dutch market, you will shape the market entry from the very beginning and independently develop our business in the Netherlands.

You will develop the market and sales strategy, identify new business opportunities and acquire B2B customers and strategic partners. At the same time, you will monitor regulatory and economic developments and translate the requirements of the Dutch market into concrete actions.

You will work closely with the management of the German parent company and with our central teams in Germany across Sales, Operations, Product and Marketing. In the longer term, you will build a local team and drive the continued development of the Dutch market.

    Your responsibilities

    • Develop and take ownership of the market and sales strategy for the Netherlands.
    • Identify new business opportunities and relevant target customer segments.
    • Coordinate the establishment of a B2C customer offering.
    • Build a B2B sales pipeline and acquire initial customers and strategic partners.
    • Develop relationships with fleet operators, charging infrastructure operators, energy companies and other market participants.
    • Monitor the market, competitors and regulatory developments and derive concrete actions from your findings.
    • Incorporate local market and customer requirements into the continued development of products and processes.
    • Represent the company at relevant events and build a local network.

    Your profile

    • You have relevant experience in areas such as business development, international expansion, sales or country management.
    • You have a proven track record of developing new markets, business areas or customer relationships.
    • You think entrepreneurially, work independently and take ownership.
    • You have strong sales and negotiation skills.
    • You are able to quickly understand complex regulatory and economic matters and translate them into concrete actions.
    • You work in a structured manner and maintain an overview even when managing several topics simultaneously.
    • You have business-fluent Dutch language skills and very good German or English language skills.
    • You are willing to travel within the Netherlands and internationally when required.

    An advantage

    • Experience in energy, electric mobility, sustainability, environmental compliance or a comparable regulated market
    • Knowledge of the Dutch market and an existing industry network
    • Knowledge of RED III or the Dutch ERE/HBE system
    • Experience in building or managing a team

    What you can expect

    • A key role with significant responsibility in establishing a new European market
    • Considerable freedom to shape the business and entrepreneurial responsibility from the outset
    • The opportunity to develop and implement your own strategies and structures
    • Direct collaboration with management and international specialist teams
    • Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely within the Netherlands or from a local office
    • The long-term opportunity to build and lead your own local team
    • Short decision-making processes and a pragmatic, growth-oriented working environment
    • A role in a future-focused market at the intersection of technology, sustainability and mobility
